Always wanted to find gold? Wanted to experience the nightless night of finnish Lapland? What if we told you you can now have them both, at the same time?

Come join our 4- day trip to where it all began and get a rare glimpse of a gold diggers life while enjoying the beauty of the nature and taste fo fresh, local products. 

Day 1- Arrival to our Home Camp. First night will be spent here and you will have an opportunity to explore the surroundings, by walk, bike or even go kayaking on a nearby lake. We will prepare the necessities for the upcoming trip, checking all the equipment needed, put up a Tentsile tree tent to sleep at for the first night and dine at our cozy summer kitchen which will be at your use whenever at Home Camp. 

Day 2 - Departure after breakfast towards Saariselka, where we will spend the next two days rinsing gold.

 Goldminer Paavo tells shortly the history of Lappish gold and also a little bit about the geological background of the goldfields. Then we take the rubber gloves and go to the pit to dig sand and stones to the sluice-box with the shovels. After working, the contents of the riffles will be panned by goldminer. We learn how to pan gold. If we are lucky, we’ll get gold nuggets and Lappish gemstones. After that professional demonsration we will continue by ourselves until to next noon. We will put up a Tentsile tree tent, cook dinner from local, fresh ingredients and sleep under the golden midnight sun.

All the gold you will find,you can keep!

Day 3 - After breakfast we will continue gold rinsing until noon. We will take donw the Tentsile tents and  on the way to Home camp we will learn little bit more of the golden history of the Saariselkä area. At Home Camp a warm Sauna and a hot thub awaits along with a dinner at our summer kitchen. 

Day 4 - Day 4 - Breakfast will be served at the summer kitchen and depending of your time of departure there's a possibility to explore the nearby area or visit the village of Ivalo.
